Late c.19th Set of 6 Elm & Ash Windsor Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Chairs & Carver (Victorian Country)

A set of 6 elm, ash and beech provincial Windsor dining chairs and carver, dating from the late 19th century. Comprised of 5 chairs and single carver, this set features attractively figured solid timbers throughout coupled with quirky natural charm. Solid curvered top rails sit over ring turned slats with central block. Saddled elm seats, raised on ring turned splayed legs supported by H-stretcher. The carver with open shaped arms with ring turned supports. A lovely set of country dining chairs that are full of character that only naturally aged chairs can provide. The carver in particular is a wonderful example of what time can do, which simply cannot be replicated. As you will see the natural changes have created a unique stance, yet still is a perfectly useable and functional chair. The set is in a very good and original condition, without damages or repairs. Very well presented and ready for use.
