his is a mould blown, late Victorian hyacinth vase, dating from approximately 1900. The vase is in excellent condition. This means, of course, that it shows some wear and tear to the base and elsewhere commensurate with use. The vase is of baluster shape and is amber in colour. The rim measures 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter. The bowl flares out into a baluster shape with a stepped base which measures 8.8 cm (3.5 inches) in diameter. The vase is 14.2 cm (5.7 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches, or any obvious signs of restoration. What looks like thin cracks in the top of the vase are actually tool-marks made by the pucellas when blowing the vase. There are some small unburst bubbles in the metal of the vase. It weighs 264 g. (~ 9 1/4 oz.).
