Pair of Archibald Knox candlesticks that are slightly different in height. A very typical Knox shape of c.1903. The inversion of forms and proportions- such as the cone shape - is one of the more revolutionary features of the Liberty style: ‘The discreet Celtic decoration is a perfect foil for the naked simplicity of the overall form’.
