Description
A lovely large vintage biscuit tin (Young Queen Elizabeth II). This is a souvenir of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II from June 1953. Empty. Macfarlane Lang & Co's Biscuits. 9.5" long, 8" wide and 5" deep. There is general wear to the tin as expected for a vintage item, however it is in good collectible or useable condition. An interesting small vintage manufacturer's biscuit tin from Macfarlane Lang & Co's dating to circa. 1914 with decorative shields on the lid. Empty. The word 'SAMPLE' to the base. 6" long, 3" wide and 2" deep. This is in good condition for its age and was probably not released for sale. There is some evidence of this being used to hold dominoes and some faint old writing of 'dominoes for paking room' on the top (spelt verbatim per the writing on the tin!)
