Negretti & Zambra Jordan Pattern two - Week Recording Barograph
Another extremely rare two-week recording barograph by Negretti & Zambra, London. Known as the Jordan Pattern, Reg Design No 62871 (as opposed to the reference 628671 on the similar instrument available).There is a serial number No. 30607 engraved in the brass baseplate. These instruments record barometric pressure over a two way system at the back of the chart with the capillary nib engaging with the paper chart at the front on the right hand end. The clock is housed in a rectangular box which drives the larger roller on the left. The case is made from polished oak with a hinged lid with beveled edge glass and there is a chart drawer to the base. A quantity of charts will be supplied together with a fresh bottle of ink.
