This is a charming all-original late 19th Century Oil on Canvas Painting depicting two fishermen who are standing at the helm of their vessel with a nightlight in very rough seas. It is a beautiful subject matter, and painted very much in the manner of the Newlyn School artist - and most certainly of the same period. The attention to detail is extremely good, with a fabulous depiction of the rough waves, together with a wonderful portrayal of the tiny coastal village lights which can be seen in the distance. Mounted within the outstanding quality original 19th Century gilt/gesso frame whilst retaining the original 19th Century framers label verso. Attributes: Oil on Canvas Painting Circa: 1890-1900 Verso: Old 19thc Framers label ^^ Fast & Free UK Delivery Included^^ *A Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) will be provided by artsonline with this piece*
