This Georgian sterling silver Port wine label was made by Paul Storr and hallmarked in London 1822. It is in very good condition and hallmarks are clearly struck. It has a shell and scroll border and the label is also engraved "1st Service" and it comes with an unmarked chain. Paul Storr is regarded as the finest English silversmith of the 19th century and apart from being appointed by three successive Kings also was silversmith to many other Royals and his work is exhibited in many museums.
