Polished Oak Barograph by Short and Mason

A traditional English barograph set in a richly figured polished oak case with a deep bevelled glass lift off lid. The lacquered brass movement signed by Short and Mason of London with a serial number F37955, circa 1935 although with the high serial number it could just be post WW2. There is a two-compartment chart drawer to the base and the sturdy instrument sits on oak bun feet. A quantity of weekly charts together with a fresh bottle of recording ink are included and also a reprinted period pamphlet by Negretti & Zambra Ltd describing operating instructions and how to interpret typical chart recordings. 366mm W x 215mm D x 222mm H.
