Quality Oak Victorian Antique Pedestal Desk This Quality late 19th Century Figured Oak Victorian Antique Pedestal Desk / Kneehole Desk dates from ca. 1880 and has the makers stamp Hannah & Holland, Dorchester. It has a moulded top with green tooled leather writing insert above a central drawer over knee hole and each pedestal has four graduating drawers with decorative brass handles. This lovely antique desk stands on a moulded plinth, is finished on all sides so can be placed in the centre of a room if desired and splits into three sections for easy transport. It is a warm rich Oak shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
