A rare and fine Early 20th Century Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, "The Little Mother" ~ Hn 1418, decorated in a purple colourway, designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine , and issued from 1930 to 1938. The underside fully marked in green with the Royal Doulton printed backstamp as used from 1927 to 1932, this together with the numeral 11, indicating that this figurine was issued in 1938, "The Little Mother", Rd. No. 753475, { for 1930 }, in green script, "The Little Mother", Hn 1399, { this clearly an error, since this refers to the earlier, although essentially identical figurine, issued under the name "The Young Widow" in 1930 }, Potted by Doulton & Co., and in red, the Painter's Monogram Bc { interlaced }, for Bertha M.
