Description
A fine Samson of Paris Sugar sifter. This large sifter is from the factory founded by the great Edme Samson ( 1810- 1891). A large baluster body is decorated with green and pink foliage and flowers with a large green and gilded band encompassing the whole piece. The lid is pierced with more floral decoration and a second gilded and green band. On top of the lid sits a floral bud. This is a classic piece of usable French porcelain.
