Fabulous German 'Art Deco' Granddaughter Clock by the Siegfried Haller Clock Factory, of Simonswald in the Black Forest. The expertly crafted and decorative Oak grained case, is typical for the period. It exhibits many elements of fine hand woodworking craftmanship, including carved fluting, dog toothing and floral patterns, from its strong base up to the clocks apex. The clocks high-quality Haller mechanical pendulum driven anchor escapement movement has a lovely harmonious Westminster chime, the clock’s four hammers chiming at the quarters and hours on four brass tuned rods; a fine piece of engineering! (However, there is also a chime silent leaver on the dial, should chiming not be required). The classic period silvered chapter ring dial is laid directly onto the clocks Oak face, finished with black Roman numerals and a pair of original chrome Heavy Double Swell Spade hands. These are protected by the square deco vogue chrome bezel that supports the clean convex glass. This is a super opportunity to purchase a scarce high-quality Art Deco Granddaughter Clock, from one of Germany's most sought after and famous clockmakers.
