Secretaire Bureau Bookcase Astragal Glazed Mahogany

An attractive 19th Century inlaid mahogany glazed secretaire. The mahogany boasting a well figured flamed grain and rich patina. The upper section with a carved cornice above astragal glazed doors enclosed adjustable shelving. The lower section with secretaire drawer converting to the writing desk enclosed writing suface, cubby holes and oak lined miniature drawers. Fitted three long graduated drawers below mounted with good lion mask ring pull handles, dovetailed jointing, oak lined interiors and raised on carved bracket feet. The piece dismantles to two sections for ease of movement. England, circa 1850 Offered in good condition - some aged hairline splits to glass.
