Secretaire Bureau Bookcase Astragal Glazed Mahogany Library Cabinet

An attractive Edwardian satinwood banded inlaid mahogany glazed secretaire. The mahogany boasting a well figured flamed grain and rich patina. The upper section with a built-in arched scroll pediment above double astragal glazed doors enclosed adjustable shelves. The bureau base with fall-front, shell inlaid patera and fitted interior comprising central cupboard, two miniature drawers and pigeon holes. Fitted two short and two long graduated drawers with swan neck handles, dovetailed jointing and oak lined interiors. Raised on short cabriole supports with peg feet. The piece dismantles to two sections for ease of movement. England, circa 1900
