This fine and impressive antique brooch has been crafted in 15 ct yellow gold, with rose gold and white gold details to illustrate the anatomical features of the bird.
The 1900s bar style brooch has been modelled in the form of a chick, engaging with a fine and impressive seed pearl in the form of an egg.
The chick is ornamented with an impressive cabochon ruby eye.
The antique chick and egg brooch secures with a safety pin style fastening, and is hallmarked to the side of bar setting with the mark for 15 ct gold (15CT).
This antique yellow gold brooch is fitted to a hinged leatherette presentation case with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark ‘Gieves 27 Old Bond Street London W1’.
