This is an exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver caddy spoon; an addition to our teaware collection This exceptional antique George III sterling silver caddy spoon has been crafted in the King's shape, Hourglass pattern. The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle of each piece is embellished with the classic King's shape ornamentation, including the shell design to the terminal, in addition to the central hourglass design; this hourglass device is the distinguishing feature of the pattern. The reverse of the handle terminal is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a stag passant before a tree. This fine example of Georgian flatware has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive shell decorated heel to the reverse. Maker: Thomas Wilkes Barker Date: 1813 Origin: London, England
