An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver six piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V six piece sterling silver condiment set consists of two salts, two pepper pots and two mustard pots. The pieces of this fine silver condiment set have a plain baluster waisted form onto four feet. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, with an flared shaped border to the rim. The mustard pots are fitted with plain C scroll handles and hinged hallmarked plain domed covers. The pepper pots are fitted with push fit covers with pierced 'pepper' holes. The covers to each of the pepper pots and mustard pot are surmounted with a sterling silver urn style finial. Each salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original removable blue glass liner. This antique George V condiment set is presented with associated hallmarked English sterling silver spoons. These fine example of antique silverware are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and secures with a push fit catch. The interior of the cover features the retailer's mark 'Walker & Hall Ltd, Sheffield'. The pieces of this antique sterling silver condiment set are a very good gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and exceptional condition. Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The retaining straps for two spoons are broken, however the original box can be considered to be in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece have wear in keeping with age and location. The part hallmarks to each cover are very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
