This exceptional antique early George Ii sterling silver mug has a plain baluster shaped form onto a circular domed spreading foot. The surface of this antique silver mug is plain and embellished with the contemporary engraved crest of a human head couped at the shoulders, surmounted with a coronet. The upper and lower portions are encircled with tooled decorated borders to the rims. This Georgian silver mug is fitted with an impressive S scroll handle with a plain thumbpiece ornamented with the contemporary engraved initials 'Emr'.
