Description
Late 19th Century Victorian antique sterling silver desktop wax sealing taperstick, designed as a miniature chamberstick.
Hallmarked in Chester, 1891, with the makers mark CSFS for Cornelius Saunders & Francis Shepherd.

Sterling Choice has clarified that the Victorian 1891 Sterling Silver Miniature Wax Sealing Taperstick Hallmark Chester (LA551768) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1891
condition
Well used. Numerous dents and unevenness, especially to the base, causing the shaft to tilt. Taperstick elevating slider has been soldered in place. Holes to the base rim - likely originally held a fixing point for the snuffer and chain (both of which are missing), which would have been hung on the slot on the shaft.
