Watch: Gents 1960s Avia-matic Automatic Wristwatch

The watch has a 25-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The watch measures 33mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33mm high excluding the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in nice condition with just light surface marking, nothing serious at all. The back of the watch states that it is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and a date display (this is an early form of quickset date where the hands are repeatedly moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8.30pm until the desired date is reached). There is a little discolouration to the dial and light marking. A new leather strap has been fitted. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
