Watch: Gents 1970s Mondaine Wrist Watch

The watch has a good quality 25 jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The watch is a good wearable size at 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. There is light marking to the plate but nothing too serious at all. The case back has some fairly light scratches. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, seconds sweep and date display. This is an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8pm until the required date is reached. A new leather strap has been fitted.
