Jonas Barber - Clockmaker

Jonas Barber clocks are very sought after. Each one being numbered to the movement with characteristic curl to the number 5 on the dial. Two generations working from 1710-1802. Each of London quality, the original Jonas Barber moving to Winster in Cumberland from London. A list of known clocks is in B.W.Cave-Browne-Cave's book. Very few clock makers had a numbering system.
