Nathaniel Mills - Silversmith

The family firm of Nathaniel Mills & Sons began in 1803 when Mills the Elder registered his first mark. During the first half of the 19th Century the company grew to specialise in silver vinaigrettes and calling cards with scenes of castles and British landmarks engraved upon the top which were popular as souvenirs at the time. When the elder Mills died in 1843 his three sons carried on the business but by 1853 the firm was closed down.

Today pieces stamped for Nathaniel Mills are keenly collected by people who admire the quality of the engraving work. At LoveAntiques we have a good selection of antique Nathaniel Mills silverware all from trusted sellers.
