Oetzmann & Co - Silversmith

The London firm of Oetzmann & Co was founded in 1848 and finally closed their doors in 1930. During the 82 years they were in business they were known as House Furnishers supplying a wide range of home furniture, upholstery and homeware to the burgeoning Middle-Class. As a large department store Oetzmann both designed and produced items in house, as well as sold items produced by others. Beside the larger items of furniture this London firm also retailed far smaller items such as tableware. It is not known when the company started marking their name on Silver Plated items, but they registered the mark ‘O&Co’ with the London Assay office in 1908 for their Sterling Silver range.

At LoveAntiques we have a good selection of Oetzmann & Co items for sale.
