Hemstitched White Irish Linen Tea Tablecloth with Deep Floral Crochet Lace Trim
Ref: TSH/10 / LA95304
This kind of crochet trim is often confused with 'filet' lace, but this is, in fact, fine crochet, although it was made in imitation of filet needlelace. This is a square tea tablecloth in good Irish linen, very pretty, probably made in the 1930s, with a deep scalloped cotton crochet trim, in a floral pattern, with four matching crochet 'corners' inset into the centre panel.
