The watch has a Coventry made stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has the most beautiful engraving, 'Presented to S T Fisher, as a token of our esteem and regard for long service by the members of Heneage Baptist Choir, Dec 1900'. Heneage Street Chapel was in Birmingham and closed down in 1952 when the area was re-developed.The watch measures 54mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Chester 1896. The front of the case is in good condition while the back has a few little “dings”. The watch glass is in good condition, just a few small nibbles to the bevelled edge but you have to look closely to see them. The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, M J Russell, London. The dial is in lovely condition. Pin set hands. The control for the chronograph hand is operated by way of the sliding button to the side of the case... when the hand is stopped, the whole movement stops too, this is how this model was designed. The watch comes in a new presentation box.ALL OF OUR PRICES INCLUDE UK AND WORLDWIDE POSTAGE.All of our watches are checked over before listing and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch. We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red Buy Now button.Non-UK buyers are welcome but payment can be made by Paypal only. Please note that we are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers.
