Silver EIGHT DAY HEBDOMAS, Swiss Made Pocket Watch 1929
You are bidding on an original silver 0.925 full hunter eight day pocket watch by Hebdomas, made in Switzerland in 1929. The bezel on this watch is missing.
DIAL: The enamel dial has black Roman numerals and nice gold flowers decorating around the dial. The dial has nice hands and is signed in the upper centre: "Hebdomas Patent, 8 days, Swiss Made".
The dial covers ¾ of the front of the watch, leaving ¼ which exposes the bridged balance and regulator.
MOVEMENT: The movement is in working order but could do with a service and is signed: "Spiral Breguet Levees Visibles, 8 Jours, Ancre, Qualite Superieure Garantie" The middle of the movement is also signed: "8 DAYS, Swiss Made". There are different medals and years inscribed as well: "Milan 1916, Paris 1900, Chicago 1902, Genève 1896, Bruxelles 1910".
The watch takes some winding and when it is fully wound the winding slips over a loud click, to let you know it is fully wound, and protects the watch from over winding.
CASE: The all silver full hunter case has the London import mark for 1929, it has a hinged rear and front cover, and the front cover springs open when the winding button is pressed. The rear cover houses the huge mainspring barrel which is required for the watch to run for 8 days.
