The watch has a stem-winding movement, calibre 40.6 T2.15P, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 7,581,230 dates it back to the early part of the 1930s... this calibre of movement was made from 1923 until 1936. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which are images of trade medals won by Omega. The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside the case backs, along with the early Omega logo. As well as being silver, there is a rose gold wash around the edge of the watch, this is known as a galonne case. There is some rubbing to the rose gold wash on the back of the watch but not too detrimental. The back of the watch has a cartouche with the name Carl-Uno. The acrylic lens is in good condition. The signed white enamelled dial has a hairline crack but it is quite faint. The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. All of our watches are checked over before listing and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch. All of our prices include worldwide postage. We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations. Credit / debit card purchases can be made over the telephone on 01386 750238 or you can proceed via the red Buy Now button. Non-UK buyers are welcome but payment can be made by Paypal only. Please note that we are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
