Antique Cranberry Glass Gilt Ormolu Mounted Chatelaine Perfume Scent Bottle c.1880

On offer is this most attractive antique scent bottle dating circa 1880. This perfume bottle measures 8 cm in height and has a flattened base so can stand upright without support. The bottle is made of cranberry glass completed encased in a decorative pierced gilt ormolu mount/ The bottle is fitted with a brass collar and hinged lid, the top of which has pretty engraved pattern. To the sides of the collar the bottle has a suspensory chain and ring so that it could be suspended from a chain or chatelaine. This antique perfume bottle is offered in very good condition. There are no visible chips or cracks to the glass. The neck of the bottle is undamaged and the bottle has an undamaged inner glass stopper. The stopper sits a little proud so may be a replacement. There may be a tiny tiny piece of the gilt ormolu missing at one side but if so it is so very tiny and the decoration so elaborate I can't be certain. The lid fits firmly and securely and is free from dents or dings. Thank you for looking.
