Description
Scottish highland style vintage sterling silver lapel size plaid brooch with a central dark orange opaque stone, probably stained agate, the outer rim is decorated with a thistle and stalk pattern.
Assayed and hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1961, made by Ward Bros, a prolific maker of quality Scottish jewellery, it is 1.25 inch across. Small and light enough as a lapel brooch or for some of the lighter fabrics. Cleaned and ready to wear from the box.
