Antique Turkish Angora Ushak Carpet

West Anatolia - First quarter 20th Century - These very soft piled all woollen construction woven by weavers just outside of Ushak in Western Turkey. This example of an unusual "Karachov" caucasian design with the rams heads outlined rectangular boxes. It has a brilliant pistachio green ground against the primarily soft candy floss pink colour with the ground filled with star rosettes. Very good interior decorators carpet at a very affordable price for this type of weaving. De-dusted and all sides and ends now secured. In overall very good pile, right side edge has three pile depressions, imaged and reflected in price. Doesn't affect it's overall look at all.
