Large Exquisite Georgian Silver Vinaigrette

This is a large silver vinaigrette with exquisite detailing, dating from the Georgian Regency period. This desirable example has a richly gilded interior with beautifully engraved and pierced, domed grille. The lid and base are extensively engraved and feature leaves, rope banding and dot and stipple patterns. There is a central cartouche to the reverse with single engraved flower and a shaped cartouche to the front, which is vacant. An unusual and attractive collector's piece.
