The Potteries Antique Centre established in 1990 is based in Cobridge near Burslem, Stoke on Trent, England and is housed in a two storey Victorian colour works that was established in 1876 by the Emery Brothers who supplied colour pigments to the pottery industry in the potteries and abroad. Burslem belongs to the proud title of " The Mother Town of Potteries ". As early as the 17th century this town was noted above all others for the production of the best classes of pottery made in this country. Here, too, was born the greatest exponent of the potters' art whom the world has known - Josiah Wedgwood - who was born at Burslem in July, 1730.
