This is a lovely table, it dates from the very early part of the 19th Century, the table opens in the centre to allow the addition of up to 3 solid mahogany leaves to be inserted, and voilà you have a large banqueting table. This is the sturdiest form of extending table you will find, it has a fifth leg in the centre to make sure. The table is made in superb quality solid Flame Mahogany which has a good rich colour, the table legs are very attractive, they are fluted and carved with big brass casters at the bottom The table has 3 leaves of different sizes, and can be used with none or up to 3 depending on the size required. The table is about 200 years old and is very sturdy, there is an old repair to the top, and the large leaf has a faint mark but this is not very noticeable. The table is 30” high, 55” long and 44” wide and when fully extended, the table is 120” long and will seat up to 16 diners comfortably. The leaves are 19”, 26” and 20” wide and can be used in individually or all together.
