Description
This is a fine and impressive antique 1920's 1.38 carat diamond, platinum and 15 carat white gold drop brooch; part of our diverse antique 1920s diamond jewellery collections. This fine and impressive antique diamond lapel brooch has been crafted in platinum with a 15ct white gold bar. The pierced decorated elongated navette-shaped platinum frame is embellished with twelve individually millegrain collet set Old European cut diamonds, conjoined with scrolling motifs. The lower terminal is embellished with a single pavé set diamond, within a stemmed tapering millegrain decorated setting. This angular setting is further ornamented with three vertical linear formations of pavé set Old European cut diamonds, graduating in size. This impressive array is suspended from a symmetrical pierced decorated frame accented with five further individually collet set Old European cut diamonds. This intricate drop diamond brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse of a plain 15ct white gold horizontal bar setting. This versatile brooch could be worn as a pendant via a chain threaded through the bar setting; the pin fastening could be professionally removed upon request. This diamond lapel brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 15ct gold. This impressive brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond grading report card. Such antique lapel brooches in this high quality are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
