1890s Victorian Pocket Watch Chain Shield Fob 12ct Gold Plated Large Antique Fob

Victorian Gentleman's large and highly ornate 12ct gold plated (stamped) Antique pocket watch chain shield fob. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to Pinewood Studios. (Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.8cm height (including the top ring), 3cm width and weighs a respectable 5.1 grams. Attractive shield shaped fob which is beautifully decorated to the front with a slightly raised scrollwork decoration featuring a raised fancy un-engraved shield cartouche to centre . The back is smooth, highly polished (free from any inscriptions or initials) and is stamped (somewhat rubbed); Warranted Gold Plated and carries the makers initials (within a recessed oblong shaped cartouche); Sme & C. Original secure gold plated top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage, just a tiny bit of overall wear/patina and very light little surface scratches (mainly to back) commensurate with age.
