Description
An absolutely stunning 18th Century George III silver gilt snuff box by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, London 1795. Cartouche with initials engraved.
In excellent antique condition for its 231 years, the hallmarks are very good, hinge working well , there is slight surface wear, gilding is still bright, engraving very good, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use. It looks barely used.
A beautiful Georgian period piece, the best piece I’ve seen in a long time.
