Description
This is a fine example of a large 18th Century Georgian antique brass trivet, with pierced and engraved top bell metal legs shaped stretcher and turned wood handle. It can also be clipped onto a fire grate.
An almost identical example is illustrated in English domestic metalwork 1640-1820 (See photo 12)
