Description
A fine example of an 18th-century sterling silver teapot. It is a pretty lobed shape with a wooden handle and beautiful bright-cut decoration. It is stylish and of good quality, weighing a total of 378g with the handle. It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1781, and the maker Aaron Lestourgeon. It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are signs of age and use and some general light surface marks but no major dents or damages. There have been some old solder repairs around the base and there is a very small pinprick hole just from the inside visible (see photo). The nut under the finial handle has also likely been replaced at some point as I'd have expected it to be silver. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask
