18th Century Italian Walnut Chest of Drawers An 18th Century Italian Walnut Chest of Drawers with Original Metalwork. This very handsome chest of drawers is of 18th century date but still includes some features from the baroque period, particularly the fine seaweed marquetry to each of the drawer fronts. There are also good mouldings to the drawer fronts, part ebonised for contrast, and the sides are both panelled and part ebonised, with diamond designs in the centres. The exceptional handles and escutcheon plates are all original. It stands on part ebonised and panelled bracket feet. The top is also ebonised. Retaining an exceptional colour throughout.
