This is a very Rare Beautiful 18th Century Solid Silver Eagle Crested Oval Chamberstick, this was crafted by the Georgian Silversmiths Luke Proctor & Co and was made in Sheffield 1787 making it an amazing 233 years old, this is a really a Superb and Beautiful Georgian Solid Silver Chamberstick, the Drip Pan of the Chamberstick has a Navette or Oval shape to it, with a raised edge all around, the Handle is the most Charming Curved shape for the Finger to comfortably Hold and a lovely Oval shape Platform to rest the Thumb on. There is a small section near the from of the Platform where the Snuffer would have fitted but that is missing. The Candleholder Stem has the most Beautiful Oval Shape standing on a Stunning Plynth. This is Hallmarked to the Base for Luke Proctor & Co made in Sheffield 1787, making this 18th Century Solid Silver Chamberstick a really Unique Piece of History, the Drip Pan has a Crest of an Eagle with Wings Outstretched rising from Flames and with a Flaming Torch in its Beak. This would have been owned by someone very important in the Georgian Period of 1787, in lovely condition for its age with only light surface marks and scratches and this would add something special to any collection
