18th Century Miniature Tallboy

Offered for sale is this 18th Century English antique miniature tallboy. Constructed in oak with mahogany banding and boxwood stringing, this chest on chest retains is original feet, brass knobs and a good colour and waxed patina. Often described as apprentice pieces to demonstrate a young craftsman's skill, such miniatures may well have also been used as samples or for display.
