18th Century Moon Dial Long Case Clock
A handsome late 18th Cent longcase clock. The dial is signed for Pearson, Halifax. This is probably Samuel Pearson who traded from Petticoat Lane, Halifax from 1790 to 1822. The case is in oak with mahogany cross banding and an attractive shell inlay to the trunk. The 30hr movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a most attractive painted dial with subsidiary date dial and a moon phase indicator to the arch. The clock has recently been restored and is in excellent condition. The movement is in good running order with all functions working and is keeping good time. The maximum dimensions are: 217cm (89.5") high 55cm (21.5") wide 25cm (10") deep Free local delivery and set up (40mls), national delivery arranged at cost.
