This striking piece of 18th century furniture was obtained from a Derbyshire estate and is made from a section of an oak tree trunk. It has been used as a chopping block, with a scarred top, and is blackened with age. Stable on its tripod base, it will make a fabulous small table and will look great in an old pub or restaurant. - Iron binding strip around block. - Tripod base, making it stable on an uneven surface. - Heavy and sturdy. - Characterful splits and gnarls, with the top marked from chopping.
