Super ebony hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane. Beautiful obsidian crystal ball top that sits into a silver collar which has decorative engraving around it. Typical of canes used by undertakers and clergymen when they wore full black for funerals. Also of course used as evening canes by gentlemen in the 1920's 30's and 40's. The silver was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, with the date letter for 1918 and the makers mark for Thomas Davis of Avebury Street, London. The ferrule is brass. It measures 96 cm 37 3/4 inches in length, the pommel is 4.4 cm 1 3/4 inches wide.

It's in excellent condition but with a couple of minor signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. The silver has a several small surface marks as shown in the pictures. No holes or splits. The shaft is strong and has no breaks or repairs.
