1930 Silver Fruit Knife

This is a vintage silver fruit knife from the 1930s. It’s a lovely collector’s item and would be great to use for slicing up pieces of fruit such as apples or pears. It’s a folding fruit knife with a sterling silver blade. It has a beautiful mother of pearl handle with very pretty detailing and a blank shield cartouche on one side. The blade folds as a pen knife would do although the blade protrudes from the handle. It was made by Villiers & Jackson and it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1930. The maker’s mark and hallmarks are on one side of the blade. The handle is in good condition with no cracks or chips to the mother of pearl. The silver blade has quite a lot of scratches to it and a slightly kinked end although this wouldn’t affect its use.
