The watch has a high grade 17-jewel stem-winding movement, identified as a Revue, which is working nicely. The patterned plates, screw set jewels and snail cam micro regulator are all signs of a good quality movement. The movement is signed Whittakers, the original retailers of the watch. It is all protected by an inner polished brass dust cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition, with the engine turned detail to the case back still being nice and crisp. There is a small mark to the top of the cartouche on the back of the watch but it almost looks like part of the design.
The watch glass has small marks across it but is acceptable.
The dial has some hairline cracks around 10 and 11 but they are towards the edge of the dial . Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a chunky single chain, 31cm long including the later T-bar.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).

All of our watches are checked over before listing and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
