Quality hallmarked solid silver one pint tankard or christening mug. Full Birmingham hallmark with the date letter for 1939 and the makers mark for William Neale, Warstone Street, Birmingham. Georgian style body with a roll top rim, pedestal base and elaborate scroll work shaped handle decorated with silver bead work. The silver weight is 222.2 grams very good weight for a tankard this size. Apologies for any reflections in the pictures, these are not marks in the silver. No engraving to any part of the mug. Stands 4 3/8 inches 11.2 cm tall, 3 3/8 inches 8.6 cm in diameter at the top rim and 5 1/4 inches 13.4 cm handle to rim.
