Billy Hunt is located on a large Victorian farm just a short country drive from the Rangemore village, a designated conservation area, which was built by Michael Thomas Bass in the 1850s to house the Bass Rangemore Estate workers consisting mainly of Victorian redbrick cottages and the occasional barn. Our home is a classic Victorian designed and well equipped late 19th century 2 story red brick built barn of some 4000 sq feet nestled in classic English countryside, which enjoyed a careful full renovation in 2000. The estate still benefits being managed in the traditional manner with an Estate Manger, estate carpenter, gardeners etc. A rather delightful place to have as our work space. Martina, there is no Billy at Billy hunt, has led the team since 2103 and is an interior designer qualified from The Inchbald School of Design London whose previous working life included such clients as Vertu, Aston Martin and Johnnie Walker to name a few. We always endeavor to offer a careful selection of chosen pieces from the British Isles ranging from 1800 to 1990 with makers such as Heal’s, Gillows, Pieff, Howard, Younger, Gomme, Archie Shine to name a few. Worth remembering, we are a business and as such we purchase what our clients desire alongside what we enjoy. Our pieces are usually ready for placing, with the option of professional reupholstery on seating if you desire - please see our upholstery page. We prefer to keep our pricing intelligent, knowledgeable, current and sensible, so no silly over inflated price tags to give you mouth watering discounts like some in our field seem to prefer… Our extensive client base covers the celebrated, international clients, interior designers, film companies and ladies and gentlemen like us who enjoy our professional, skilled, friendly and knowledgeable approach.

Description
A rare survivor from a Nottinghamshire workshop, a fabulous 1940s workshop chair by English maker Leabank. One of Leabank's earlier models, this one looks rather cool with its angled metal frame sitting on that well shaped base. The chair has enjoyed a historic lick of cream paint but this was a while ago and it's worn and glowing well in the right places with black peeping through in places. The seat and back was “shot” so a new green leather seat and back rest have been added which, being leather hide, will age a treat. The chair benefits from height adjustment, the back rest tilts and the chair swivels well. We have museum waxed the frame and ensured it is ready to enjoy. A great looking workshop chair from Leabank.
