1941 Omega wristwatch, in stainless steel. This rare example features a 'honeycomb' dial—a textured effect that is seldom seen on these models. The hour markers are slim, applied dagger-style indices. A subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock is marked with a fine crosshair as opposed to the circular versions - giving extra balance to the dial. Surrounding the main dial is a printed outer minute track The hours and minutes are indicated by shaped 'leaf' hands. Below 12 o'clock the gilt Omega logo is applied, above the printed 'Omega' script in black print.
A well crafted three-piece stainless steel case, with a snap on back. The case back inner is marked with the inscription 'Acier Staybrite', with the Omega logo engraved in the centre. This particular example is exceptionally rare, distinguished by its unique 'stepped' lugs - reminiscent of the Art Deco era. Complete with an Omega winding crown.
The watch is powered by a 15 jewel Omega 26.5 T3 manual wind mechanism. The 9.2m serial number dates this watch to circa 1941.
